THE'OP'NEUS'TY
The Rollin Art Centre Gallery, located on the corner of 8th Ave. and Argyle Street is  currently showing the works of local photographers Claudia Herron and Reyna Waller.  Their show runs from Friday, August 20 to Wednesday, September 15, Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Free admission to the Gallery!  Wheelchair accessible.

ARTS COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP

The Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley exists to enhance the quality of life in our community by promoting the arts.
This is accomplished through:
- Arts Education and Information
- Provision & support of quality programming, services and events in all facets of the arts
- Participation in the preservation, planning and development of cultural facilities and institutions.
- Contributing to the development of cultural policies at the local, regional, provincial and national levels.

In our Fine Art Gallery we promote local artists by presenting exhibitions of their work for 3-4 week periods.  As a member you are invited to all Meet & Greet the Artists.
Our Gift Shop features original art, cards, prints, wood products, fibre arts, jewellery, pottery, books, bath and beauty items, glass art, stone sculpture and more..  All items are unique and crafted by our valley and area artists.  You will receive 10% discount on purchases from the gallery and gift shop (tickets excluded).
We will keep you updated on upcoming theatre, concert and other events of interest by phone or email.

Membership Fees are $15 adult, $10 senior (65+), $20 family, $25 small business, $50 corporate or $30 group payable yearly.  For more information on membership, drop in to the Rollin Art Centre, 3061-8th Ave. in Port Alberni, Tuesday to Saturday, 11 am - 4 pm.


WANTED

When returning your bottles and cans to the 4th Ave. recycling depot, donate your refund to the Rollin Art Centre by asking the staff at the recycling depot to credit the Rollin Art Centre. Also, do you have Canadian Tire money that you could donate to the Rollin Art Centre? Drop off the money to the Rollin Art Centre, Tues. to Sat., 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

These donations help the Rollin Art Centre immensely.

GARDENERS WANTED

Do you love to garden? Can you spare a couple of hours a month?
Join the volunteer gardeners at the Rollin Art Centre public gardens and enjoy being part of the team that oversee the lovely gardens.

GARDEN WEDDINGS

Are you looking for the perfect setting for a garden wedding? Check the Rollin Art Centre gardens. They offer many fantastic settings for your photographs, the gazebo for your vows and an easy access to the gardens. Drop in and stroll around the gardens then go into the centre and book your special day.
